Club Air

Club Air is a new airline born out of the experience of the Milan based Tour Operator Valsole Viaggi e Turismo. The airline is based in Verona, Italy, and was established in October 2002. It began operations the next month, but ceased operations in December 2006, as a result of the Italian civil aviation authority ENAC's decision to withdraw its operating licence. In May 2007, Club Air resumed operations and now offers scheduled services to several Italian and a number of Eastern European destinations.

Destinations served by direct services from Italy include Tirana, Sofia, Paris and Prague. A direct route also operates from Basel in Switzerland to Ancona in Italy. From Ancona, you can also fly non-stop to Athens, Greece and Lviv in Ukraine. Among the domestic routes are Ancona to Rome, Naples, Palermo, Catania and Verona. There are also direct services from Verona to Naples, and Naples to Catania.

The airline employs BAe146-200 and Avro RJ85 jets, both medium-sized commercial aircraft. Tickets can be bought online, via Club Air's call centre or at travel agents. The check in desk opens about 2 hours ahead of the scheduled time of departure. Passengers are asked to be at the desk no less than one hour before their flight. Check in desks will be closed 30 minutes before flight departure and delayed passengers may lose their boarding rights. The airline offers preferential rates for companies and frequent travellers. From time to time, the airline offers special deals, mostly on its domestic routes.
