ClickMexicana

ClickMexicana is based in Mexico City and was established in 1975, having begun operations on 12 July 1975 as Aerocaribe. The airline's main hub is Mexico City International Airport and it is a subsidiary of Mexicana Airlines. Offering flights between 25 Mexican cities, ClickMexicana serves destinations such as Manzanillo, an increasingly popular city with holidaymakers. The airline operates 17 Fokker 100 aircraft.

The budget airline's business model is to offer domestic routes from Mexico City to popular but hard-to-reach beach destinations such as Ixtapa on the west coast and Puerto Escondido, a former surfing mecca now popular with non-surfers, who are attracted by its unspoilt beaches. Click is also set to take over Mexicana's routes to popular Caribbean destinations, including Cancun and Playa del Carmen. The airline's schedules are convenient for travellers transferring to international flights in Mexico City, from where there are extensive flight routes.

Operating out of Mexico City, other destinations served include Cozumel and Merida in the east, Puerto Escondido and Huatulco in the south, and Torreon and Monterrey in the north. Other direct connections are available between Guadalajara and Veracruz, Veracruz and Merida, Cancun and Monterrey. There is also an international service between Cancun and Havana, Cuba.

Passengers must check in about 1 hour before flying, and electronic tickets are available online. All passengers are required to have photo ID, such as their passport or driver's licence. The luggage allowance on flights is 25kgs, and excess luggage may incur a charge. In-flight service includes a variety of free soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, as well as peanuts. There are no movie or music facilities for passengers on board.

The airline says it plans to introduce an English option to its website in the near future.
