City Airline, established in 1997, is a regional airline based in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is privately owned and operates a small European network, with its main hub in Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport. City Airline began operations in September 2001. Its business model is to identify secondary airports located in between larger airport hubs and establish non-stop services to new destinations. |

City Airline presently operates the following international routes from Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport: Birmingham, Manchester, Lyon, Zürich and Tallinn. Domestic routes include Luleċ and Visby. The schedules from Manchester and Birmingham also make possible a connection to Tallinn in Estonia every weekday after a short stopover in Gothenburg. The airline operates a fleet of regional jets, including Embraer 135 and Embraer 145, with a capacity of 37 and 49 seats respectively. Additionally, the domestic route Bromma-Kristianstad is operated by a SAAB 2000 aircraft, with two daily departures Monday-Friday and one on Sundays.
All bookings are without tickets. Passengers are requested to bring their final travel plans together with valid ID for all flights. Check-in begins hours before flight departure and closes 30 minutes before. Passengers only carrying hand luggage are requested to be at the gate no later than 20 minutes before departure. A meal and drink are served on all flights. In the mornings, passengers will be served a substantial breakfast. In the evenings, a salad and a cold meal are on the menu. There is a wide range of hot and cold drinks available on each flight. City Airline is a partner of SAS Eurobonus Programme. All passengers travelling on City Airline's international network are entitled to earn and receive Eurobonus extra points.
