Cimber Air

Danish airline, Cimber Air is a major international and domestic carrier based in Sønderborg, Denmark and with hubs located at Copenhagen and Billund airports. Established on 1 August 1950, Cimber Air began operations in the same year and has since grown to become one of the country's biggest airlines. Scandinavian Airlines held a 26% interest in the company from 1998 until 2003; however, it is now wholly owned by Cimber Air Holding.

The airline provides scheduled services to domestic locations including Aalborg, Billund, Bornholm, Copenhagen, Karup and Sønderborg. International routes provide connections to major cities in Finland, Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The airline operates a relatively young fleet comprised largely of ATR aircraft (French built) with three ATR 72-200s, two ATR 42-500s, one ATR 72-500 and one ATR 42-300 currently in operation. For longer flights, the airline operates seven Bombardier CRJ-200LRs and two Bombardier CRJ-100LRs.

Cimber Air is a full-service airline; hence on board passengers can expect their flying experience to be both a comfortable and enjoyable one. Food and drink are provided on a complimentary basis with domestic flights offering snacks and hot and cold beverages and international flights normally offering at least one cooked meal as well as a full bar service.

In-flight entertainment is offered on longer journeys with contemporary Hollywood movies and popular television shows screened. Audio channels can also be accessed from seats in all classes of cabin. Booking can be made on the Cimber Air website or with popular online flight booking companies. E-bookings made directly with Cimber can be managed via the company website, with facilities for re-scheduling or making cancellations provided. Additionally, a telephone booking service is provided for those who are not web savvy or prefer not to use internet booking for whatever reason.
