The air carrier provides scheduled flights within the Channel Islands as well as to France and the UK mainland. It's a fast-growing airline with new flights being added all the time.

The company was known as Rockhopper prior to February 2006, when it received the first of its new fleet of 19-seat BAe Jetstream aircraft. Upon the establishment of a new air link with the Isle of Man, the name was changed to Blue Islands. The airline now has new routes from Guernsey and Jersey to Paris and from Guernsey to Southampton. Blue Islands aims to offer a high level of customer service and provides for this through its passenger lounges at Guernsey and Jersey. Customers can enjoy complimentary refreshments and newspapers at these lounges, along with television and Wi-Fi internet services. At Southampton, Blue Islands' passengers have access to the Business Lounge, while those in Guernsey, Jersey and Bournemouth are transported to the aircraft by courtesy coach.
