The airline was founded in 2005 by former Aeromexico Director, Guillermo Heredia, and received its air operator's certificate the same year. In 2006 Almade Mexico operated its first flight from Guadalajara to Puebla and a year later obtained the esteemed IOSA safety certification from IATA.
The airline's main base is in Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport, Guadalajara, and they currently operate a fleet of Canadian CRJ200 Bombardier CRJ200 Jets with a capacity for 50 passengers. Destinations flown to cover the length and breadth of Mexico and include the likes of Cancun, Chihuahua, Ciudad Juárez, Guadalajara, La Paz, Merida, Monterrey and Tijuana.
Almade Mexico's Multimodal Service has successfully combined air travel with bus services at key destinations; this has proved a big hit with passengers. This type of service is offered to the following destinations: Flights arriving at La Paz and final destinations San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas; flights arriving at Puebla; and flights arriving at Tijuana and final destinations Ensenada and Mexicali. Passengers flying into Puebla have the bus trip to the town centre included in the price of their air ticket.
Almade Mexico has also recently started taking bookings through their website, which greatly reduces the hassle for passengers, making it unnecessary to go through a travel agent. Reservations can, of course, be made through travel agents as well as by calling reservations. In addition, the company regularly has special promotional packages and fare saver deals.
