Allegiant Air is an American low-cost airline based in Las Vegas, Nevada, offering cheap scheduled and charter flights across the country. The airline’s main focus is on ticketless one-way leisure travel with nonstop flights and vacation packages to many popular holiday destinations, with its main draw being the many flights to Las Vegas from cities across the United States. Allegiant Air was founded in 1997 as WestJet Express and received its operating certificate the following year. |

As well as offering scheduled and charter flights throughout the US, Allegiant can also fly charter services to Canada and Mexico and has hubs at Orlando Sanford International Airport and St Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. The company operates a fleet of reliable 28 MD80 series aircraft to more than 50 destinations across the country, usually to smaller cities with no airline service or to secondary airports of larger cities.
