AeroContractors successfully passed the criteria set out by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority NCAA and was reregistered. The airline operates solely in Africa with the majority of its routes running in Nigeria. Its main hub is Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, where flights to Equatorial Guinea, Ghana and Mali are available. One of the company's main operations is its contract flight service and it is the number one transport provider for major oil companies in West Africa.
Check in counters open two hours before departure and passengers are advised to check in no later than one hour prior to departure. Check in counters close 45 minutes before take-off. In-flight refreshments are available at an added cost and seating is allocated by the airline with preferred seating available upon request at booking. The airline's fleet consists of two Boeing 737-400, two Boeing 737-300 and five Dash8-300 aircraft.
AeroContractors operates under European JAR regulations, a regulating body which ensures the quality of airline service and aircraft maintenance. The fact that AeroContractors services large oil companies has meant that the service, safety and reliability of the airline is regularly scrutinized and time and again meets high expectations in standards. CHC Helicopter Corporation, AeroContractors' 40 per cent partner company, is the world's largest helicopter service provider to the global offshore oil and gas industry.
